A 14-year-old girl has been charged with murder after a fatal stabbing in a coastal city in southern Queensland.
Emergency services were called about 9pm on Saturday following reports a 24-year-old man had been stabbed at Point Vernon in Hervey Bay, about 300km north of Brisbane.
He was taken to hospital but died from his injuries.
A girl was taken into custody by Queensland Police and later charged with murder.
Police allege the pair were known to each other.
She will face Hervey Bay Children's Court on Monday.
