Pelikan's 4001 has been perfected over the decades. Since originating in 1897 the formula has been perfected to consistently provide even flow and vibrant colours.
The 62.5ml glass bottle is designed for easy filling; once you're nearing the end of the ink these bottles can be stood on the side, providing a convenient ink level for filling.

Perfect and Immaculate Service
I had never before used this company, nor this ink. Having a while ago bought a Pelikan pen whilst in the States, and having used it first with Watermans ink, I thought it would be fitting to try the Pelikan ink. Astonishingly, the bottle arrived the very next day, packaged beautifully in a cube-shaped box and protected from breakage by a buffer of brown paper. It was the most pleasing thing, aesthetically, and the ink is perfect. As soon as this bottle is empty I shall go immediately back to this company: their service and presentation is immaculate.
