Description
  • The LAMY studio writing instrument elegantly fuses its individual elements with its cylindrical form, with both design and performance in perfect harmony. The clip is inspired by a propeller, countering the objective elegance of the LAMY studio with an innovative design accent. The anniversary edition features a noble, metallic blue-grey tone and a matte finish engraved with '50'.
  • The Lamy Studio fountain pen is strikingly elegant in design featuring a sculptural twisted clip.

The Lamy Studio collection is available in a matt black or blue soft lacquered, or brushed stainless steel barrel as well as a luxurious palladium plated version. Each finish has a contrasting coloured grip providing a nice accent to the design.

The Lamy Studio collection is available as a ballpoint pen, rollerball or fountain pen and as a multifuction pen with a 0.7mm pencil and ball pen.

So close to being perfect
By Tom

As a Lefty I struggle to find reasonably priced fountain pens with OB nibs. The latter are a big help as they prevent the pen from stabbing the paper as I push it along the page (rather than dragging the nib, as most people do). Alan suggested this pen/nib combo and I am so pleased he did. It writes beautifully and the posting is really positive. So, if I have given it 5 stars, why do I sum it up as only being *close* to perfect? The smooth finish to the section and its lack of a flared end mean my fingers feel less secure holding it; there is just a little bit of slipperiness. Otherwise a great pen and thoroughly recommended, particularly with the OB nib for Lefties
Great Balance

Not a super lightweight pen, which I prefer. Very well balanced. Flow is good. Easily swappable nib is a huge bonus. For pictures: http://snowbringer.blogspot.ca/2013/11/lamy-studio-initial-impressions.html
OK body - Excellent nib - Great service

The pen has a good body - a good weight, a bit too slippery and a little too fat for my liking. The main reason that I bought it was for the excellent Lamy 1.1 italic nib. In any case the service from Alan was excellent as usual. I'll only buy my pens from this company!
