Trinity Catholic College year 10 theatre group student Riley Culling, 15, throws pieces of paper as his peers (from left) Laura Tagg, 15, Holly Cairns, 14, Hermione Sparks, 14, and Sophie Jonathan, 15 look on.
"Honestly I can believe we’re going to Timaru this weekend," he said.
The group made it past the Theatrefest Dunedin heat to go to the lower South Island regional finals in Timaru today for their 8-minute skit I Think We Need to Have a Meeting.
Riley, who was playing a "California nepo baby"-type character said it was surreal for him to make it past the Dunedin heat.
The play was directed by Trinity head of drama and dance Erica Ward and year 12 student Arielle Holloway.
Another group from Trinity and one from Columba College were also headed to Timaru today
