The 18-member team, all of Dunedin, will represent the city at the Performing Arts Competitions Association of New Zealand event in Palmerston North in October.
Dunedin Tap Dancing Society president Denise Henderson said the city would have one of the largest tap teams at the event and their item would include singing. Allowing items to include singing was new for this year, she said.
The team began working on their performance in February and had also been busy fundraising.
