Southland horseman Nathan Williamson is a finalist in the inaugural Industry Excellence Awards.
Williamson, the eldest son of master North Otago trainer Phil Williamson, is a finalist for the equine handling (stud or stable) award alongside Kingsclere Stables strapper Michaela Sobieska and Te Akau handler Faith Pollock.
The awards, part of the New Zealand racing industry’s mega-deal with Entain, feature 29 finalists in nine categories, and will be presented at a function in Auckland on July 28.
